Lee County wrestlers qualify for state sectionals
Five Trojan wrestlers captured region titles

The Lee County High School wrestling team had 11 wrestlers qualify for next week’s sectional wrestling tournament at Alexander High School. The Trojans had all but one wrestler qualify during Saturday’s Region 1-AAAAAA Traditional Wrestling Tournament.
Juan Alaniz (113 pounds), Mitchell Grantham (160), Sylvester Jackson (182), Aaron Lloyd (195) and James Monteiro (285) captured region titles.
Matthew Bruner (145) and Michael Reilly (170) earned runner-up finishes, while four Lee wrestlers earned third-place finishes — Ethan Dooley (120), Yoshi Pizarro (126), Kyle Grimsley (138) and Dimitri Bonner (152).
