Sebastian Munoz fired a 3-under-par 67 on Friday to hold a three-shot lead at the midway point of the Greenbrier Classic at White Sulphur Springs, W.Va.

Munoz sits at 12-under 128 after his second consecutive strong round. He posted a 61 in Thursday’s opening round.

Ben Martin and Hudson Swafford are tied for second place. Martin shot a 67 in the second round and Swafford a 66.

Danny Lee (68), Russell Henley (64) and Davis Love III (69) are tied for fourth — four shots back of Munoz.

Munoz, who has 15 birdies through two rounds, fell two strokes shy of Jeff Overton’s 36-hole record in the event. Overton was at 126 in 2010.

Munoz, a 24-year-old from Colombia, didn’t appear to be in line for another strong round when he bogeyed two of the first six holes. But the PGA rookie recovered to drain five birdies and maintain his lead.

Martin has posted 12 birdies through two rounds and Swafford has converted 10.

Phil Mickelson barely made the cut with his 139 total. He struggled to a 2-over 72 on Friday with more bogeys (five) than birdies (three).

Among the players missing the cut was John Daly (146). His round of 73 included four birdies, five bogeys and one double bogey.
