NCAA baseball roundup: Auburn, Texas, South Carolina stay alive

Luke Jarvis hit a walk-off single with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift Auburn to a 3-2 win over Florida at Gainesville, Fla., on Saturday afternoon, tying the NCAA Tournament best-of-three Super Regional series at one game apiece.
The second-seeded Tigers forced a winner-take-all Game 3 on Monday against the top-seeded Gators, who are looking to defend their title. Steven Williams homered in the win for Auburn (43-22), while Austin Langworthy went deep for Florida (46-19). Tigers starter Tanner Burns and Gators starter Jackson Kowar allowed one run apiece and did not factor into the decision.
Texas 4, Tennessee Tech 2
Chase Shugart pitched six sharp innings as the Longhorns (41-21) beat Golden Eagles (53-11) in Austin, Texas, to force a decisive Game 3 in their Super Regional.
Shugart limited Tennessee Tech to an unearned run on two hits and five walks. Texas’ Blair Henley gave up a solo homer to the first batter he faced, David Garza, but went three innings for the save. Kody Clemens homered for the Longhorns.
South Carolina 8, Arkansas 5
LT Tolbert’s grand slam highlighted a five-run fifth inning that helped the Razorbacks (44-18) defeat the Gamecocks (36-26) at Fayetteville, Ark., to tie the Super Regional at one game apiece.
Justin Row and Hunter Taylor also went deep for South Carolina. Arkansas got homers from Heston Kjerstad and Carson Shaddy.
