University of Michigan police are investigating threatening messages from the Twitter account of former linebacker Elysee Mbem-Bosse that tagged football coach Jim Harbaugh.

A police spokesman said the department became aware of the messages on Monday, which included references to the state’s open carry law for firearms and “calling the morgue.” The tweets have since been deleted.

Melissa Overton, deputy chief and department spokeswoman, said there had been no arrests or charges brought as of Tuesday afternoon.

University police were at the football training facility on campus, and ESPN reported the Ann Arbor Police Department has also been notified about the potential threat.

Mbem-Bosse, who signed with Michigan in 2016, contributed as a backup and on special teams during his first two seasons. He reportedly was suspended from the team in mid-November last season, and a statement from the athletic department said Mbem-Bosse is no longer with the team.

Mbem-Bosse’s Twitter account is now locked from public access.
