The Atlanta Falcons will not tender a contract to cornerback Brian Poole, making him a free agent next month, Pro Football Talk reported Friday.

Poole, 26, recorded 196 tackles, 20 passes defended, five sacks and four interceptions in three seasons with the team after signing as an undrafted free agent out of Florida in 2016.

Poole later retweeted a similar story to the Pro Football Talk report, writing, “Trust The Process!”

Poole made $630,000 last season and would be due a tender of slightly more than $2 million, according to ESPN, which cited a source saying the Falcons would like to bring him back at a lower salary figure. Poole will become a free agent on March 13 when the new league year begins.

He has started 21 of his 47 games with the Falcons, mostly serving in a nickel back role.
