Two Early-Season Kickoff Times Announced

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State’s season opener against Boise State has been slated for a primetime kickoff with a national audience on ESPN, it was announced Thursday.

The Seminoles and Broncos meet at 7 p.m. Aug. 31 at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville. With Thursday’s announcement, each of FSU’s first three game times are now known. Following the season opener, Florida State hosts ULM at 5 p.m. Sept. 7 in Doak Campbell Stadium and then they open ACC play 7:30 p.m. Sept. 14 at Virginia.

Florida State leads the series with ULM 2-0, winning 42-10 in 2017 and 34-0 in 2011. The Seminoles own a 15-3 all-time advantage over Virginia, including a 6-2 edge in Charlottesville. The teams are meeting for the first time since 2014, a 34-20 FSU win in Tallahassee, and playing at Virginia for the first time since 2010 when the Seminoles earned a 34-14 win.

Florida State’s home opener and ACC opener will be aired on the new ACC Network, it was announced Wednesday.

The ACC Network is set to launch Aug. 22. Fans can visit GetACCN.com to learn more and see which providers have signed up to carry the ACC Network. Fans with providers that currently do not have an agreement to carry the ACC Network should contact their provider to make sure they do not miss any games.
