Westover runner wins race in Savannah
Henry Plowden claimed first place in the Saucony Cross Country Kickoff Classic on Saturday

Westover sophomore Henry Plowden won the Saucony Cross Country Kickoff Classic on Saturday in Savannah.
Plowden won the 5,000-meter race in 17 minutes, 2.78 seconds. He finished 1.22 seconds ahead of Pace Academy’s Jack Douglass.
Westover finished 12th out of 27 teams with 342 points. Marshall Miller, a junior, finished 46th.
The Westover girls finished 17th out of 23 teams with 453 points. Naamah McCray, a junior, finished 49th.
