Worth County rolls past Early County

Worth County and Early County traded the lead back-and-forth on Wednesday but eventually the Rams prevailed 12-5.
The nonregion victory improved Worth County to 15-3 on the season.
The Rams took the lead for good in the seventh inning, thanks to eight runs in the seventh inning.
Worth captured the lead in the first inning on Hunter Goodwin’s groundout.
Goodwin earned the win for the Rams. He pitched six innings, surrendering five runs on 10 hits, while striking out eight and walking one.
Jake Cooper started the game for Early County. He went six innings, allowing five runs, nine hits, and striking out 10 before getting a no-decision.
Worth County collected 11 hits. DJ Edwards, Braden King and Goodwin each collected multiple hits. Reddell and Kelly each drove in two runs.
Early County had 11 hits in the game. Ladarious Teal, Luke Jester, Mason Johns and Ryan Kennedy each collected multiple hits for Early County. Johns went 2-for-3 at the plate as he led the team with three runs batted in.
