ALBANY — Renasant Corporation in Tupelo, Miss., the parent company of Renasant Bank which has branches in Albany, announced late Thursday that KeyWorth Bank shareholders had voted to approve the merger of KeyWorth into Renasant Bank.

Renasant and KeyWorth had already received regulatory approval, including from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, necessary to complete the proposed merger plan from last October. Subject to the satisfaction of other customary closing conditions contained in the merger agreement, Renasant officials said, the merger is expected to be completed April 1.

Reansant entered the Albany market last year when it completed a merger with Heritage Financial Group, which operated HeritageBank of the South in 36 locations in Georgia, Alabama and Florida.

Renasant Corporation is a 112-year-old financial services institution approximately $7.9 billion in assets. It operates more than 170 banking, mortgage, financial services and insurance offices in Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida and Georgia.

KeyWorth, founded in 2007, has assets of approximately $407.8 million and operates four full-serve locations and two loan production offices in the Atlanta metropolitan statistical area.
