Nationally ranked Lee County football offering discount cards

LEESBURG — The Lee County football team is already earning national recognition before the first kickoff of the season.

Now the Trojans are asking the community to help them score another victory.

Fresh off being ranked No. 93 in the nation in this week’s MaxPreps preseason Top 100 poll, Lee County players have begun selling discount cards to raise money for the football program. The $30 cards feature more than $150 in free items, along with numerous buy-one, get-one offers and discounts from local businesses through June 2027.

For many supporters, the card can pay for itself after just a few uses.

Among the featured offers are a free Bloomin’ Onion at Outback Steakhouse, a scoop of chicken salad, $30 off an oil change, a T-shirt from Knights Apparel and discounts from a variety of participating businesses throughout the area.

Players are selling both local and national discount cards through July 30.

Customers can purchase a card by paying players with cash or check, payable to the Lee County Touchdown Club, or by scanning the QR code printed on each card to complete the purchase online. Buyers using the online option should be sure to select the player they are purchasing from so credit is applied correctly.

The fundraiser also offers a national discount option. Players can share a personalized QR code or online link through text message, allowing friends and family outside Southwest Georgia to support the program. National card purchasers receive an email with an invitation code and instructions for activating a cash-back savings app.

Those purchasing local cards will receive them directly from the player.

Organizers say the local card includes more than $150 in free merchandise and menu items before accounting for the additional buy-one, get-one offers and other discounts available throughout the year.

All sales must be completed by July 30.
