Pelham to host Towns County in first round of GHSA football playoffs
Mitchell County to host second-round playoff game in Class 1A-public

The GHSA Class 1A football playoff brackets were finalized Monday, with Pelham moving into the No. 10 seed and Mitchell County locking in the fourth seed, both in the public school brackets.
Pelham will host Towns County in Friday’s first round, with the winner advancing to face No. 7 seed Macon County on Nov. 17 in Montezuma.
Mitchell County will host the Turner County-Schley County winner on Nov. 17. Schley County is the 13th seed, while Turner County is seeded 20th.
In other first-round games involving Region 1-1A teams, Chattahoochee County travels to Washington-Wilkes, while Miller County heads to Jenkins County.
