Hey, squawker, I talk to myself because I have a good listener.
Christmas is about the birth of Jesus Christ who died on the cross for us. It’s not about gift giving, which is OK, but don’t think it’s the only reason. Our Lord is the reason for the season.
My grandfather voted Republican to the very day he died. Somehow, he is now voting Democrat.
One of the biggest problems I recognize being here in Albany is we have very poor communication skills and very poor customer service skills across the board. That’s what causing us economic issues in Albany.
If Trump was to award every U.S. citizen a check for $100,000, Sanford Bishop would vote against it — anything just to go against the Republicans, whether it helped anybody or not.
If Bishop was a good and caring congressman and wanted to help out the citizens, he would resign and give someone else a chance to get our area out of the top 7 worst areas to live in.
I do not live in either Lee or Dougherty County, but after reading the very selfish sounding letter of the retired Lee County teacher, the question arises in my mind: Just what would Lee County be without the industry and the jobs provided by Dougherty County?
After reading all the B.S. of Sen. Perdue in Tuesday’s Herald, I have to wonder how appointments at the V.A. Health Center in Albany could have been canceled because the center no longer has a doctor. MAGA?
Nan Jones, I read your letter to the editor with interest. Many folks in Albany were rooting for Lee County and were excited for them when they won. I’m sorry that you feel so bitter about us feeling proud for your team.
Trump has scored 81 major achievements and over 100 minor achievements in his first year. His most important achievement was appointing a constitutionalist Supreme Court judge to resist destruction of the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
Squawker, I knew exactly why Matt Lauer got fired and I am not a bit sorry for him. The squawk was “tongue in cheek.” The “Today” show had a segment where Matt would go to different countries all over the world and give clues as to “Where in the World is Matt Lauer?” Then staff would guess where he was.
Sen. Perdue’s “year of accomplishment” is a joke for working-class people. It has only been a good year for the top 1 percent, who are the only people Sen. Perdue’s tries to help.
Our Albany Utilities has turned to crap. I’ve been living in this house since 1959 and it’s the highest utility bill I’ve ever received.
Wow. David Perdue cannot write an article without saying President Trump’s name in the very first line. I guess he got his suck-up degree at Trump University.
For Nan Jones of Leesburg, I read with horror your letter to the editor. You say Lee County’s win was for Lee County, not the metro area, yet it’s Albany people who support Lee County football. I’ll just withhold my check when there are cheerleaders from Lee County taking up money in Albany.
