ALBANY — Downtown Albany’s Grille House will become party central over the next several days as the restaurant helps the region celebrate Valentine’s Day and the golden era of disco.

The Grille House will host a “Lost in Disco” costume party Friday night from 9-until, and will offer a romantic evening out on Valentine’s Day with a live performance by Avail Hollywood.

At Friday night’s bash, celebrants are encouraged to wear their best throw-back outfits form the disco era, the lost days of the ’70s and ’80s. The person with the best costume will win a $150 prize.

Revelers will bump, hustle and show off their best old-school moves to the disco, soul and funk of the era, provided by DJ Smitty. Partiers can enjoy drink specials all night long. Entry for the adults-only party is $15 for couples, $8 for singles.

The Grille House will offer special menu fare — a choice of filet mignon topped with red wine onion au jus, grilled salmon or fried shrimp, each with accompanying sides — at its Valentine’s evening celebration. Doors open at 6 p.m. and dinner is served at 7. Guests will enjoy the live entertainment of Avail Hollywood.

Dinner for two and the evening’s entertainment is available for $85.

The Grille House is located at 105 W. Broad Ave.
