ALBANY — The Radium Springs Panthers showcased a tenacious defense Monday night, overwhelming the Lee West Trojans in a dominant 53-21 victory at Radium Springs.
The Panthers’ relentless full-court press forced numerous turnovers, even after Radium Springs Head Coach Rantatvious Gilbert subbed in the second unit. Radium Springs jumped out to a commanding 10-2 lead, fueled by seven straight points from Jherel Gibson, and never looked back.
Gibson continued his impressive performance in the second quarter with a slam dunk and a three-pointer. Moments later, Robert Adams added to the momentum by stealing the ball and racing for a layup, pushing the Panthers’ lead to 17-2. By halftime, Radium Springs had built a comfortable 25-6 advantage.
Gibson led all scorers with 19 points, while Amari Weston paced Lee West with four points.
