Group offers free clothes washings
Procter & Gamble and Matthew 25 Ministries of Cincinnati, Ohio, are offering free laundry service at the Albany Civic Center for storm victims or people who simply need to wash their clothes. The Tide Loads of Hope truck and trailer are located in the parking lot of the Albany Civic Center. Disaster Relief Coordinator Ben William said the service washed 65 loads on Friday and had reached that number by noon on Saturday. The Tide Loads of Hope truck will be in town until at least Monday. ALBANY — P&G and Matthew 25 Ministries of Cincinnati, Ohio, are offering free laundry service at the Albany Civic Center for storm victims or people who simply need to wash their clothes. The Tide Loads of Hope truck and trailer are located in the parking lot of the Albany Civic Center.
Disaster Relief Coordinator Ben William said the service washed 65 loads on Friday and had reached that number by noon on Saturday. The Tide Loads of Hope truck will be in town until at least Monday.
“We are here to help people affected by the tornado,” Williams said. “It might give them one less thing to worry about.”
