It’s just a marketing thing by whoever the commissioners ran into at the conference. They are basically the same as Goodrx cards, which anyone can download from the Internet and use at all chains. Also check with Goodpill. 

The rich get richer, the lazy live for free, and the middle class pays for it all.

Hey, Sylvester, have you noticed that when school was out for the summer, those Worth County Sheriff’s deputies didn’t ride up and down Highway 82 or post on the median to harass or intimidate the citizens? But as soon as school starts back, here they are, harassing citizens again. Half the time when they are sitting in that area too long, they are asleep in their government vehicles.

Yeah, Fletcher, you’re making too much of the kid’s comment. It’s called living in Albany. Surely you’re used to it by now.

The governor’s office needs to take a deeper look into Section 8 and “affordable housing” scams in Albany. Almost every complex in town has been converted to government subsidies with low occupancy, and local politicians and pastors keep asking for even more to be built. Something doesn’t smell right. It feels like these crooks are profiting off of the poor. 

The Albany Herald may not have the highest-profile, best-known columnists, but dang if the ones we have aren’t getting better. 

SMRs, in the fall when inflation and unemployment start to rise due to Trump’s tariffs and you’re looking for someone to blame, just look in the mirror.

Complain about Trump all you want, but keep in mind he kept Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris from becoming president.

Similar to a weather-related tragedy made worse by Trump’s anti-science policies, our country is also more likely to have an infection-related disaster. Weakening the NIH, the CDC, and vaccine research defies all logic. Those voters and politicians responsible have put all Americans at more risk for tragic, needless suffering.

The Braves should have gotten the “start your engines” message about six months ago.

Ms. Hawkins complains about the travails of the black family in today’s America, which I’m sure is somewhat true. But nowhere in her diatribe did I see where she expressed gratitude for all the free, undeserved advantages she’s been given just because of the color of her skin. Forget that part? 

Randall … How can you have a military deserter in the paper? Oh, because he is black right, just like the commission? I watched the military come in and arrest him for AWOL.

When will our Citizen Support Systems quit encouraging the growth of the welfare class?

Still waiting — with baited breath, no less — for that amazing, $195,000, taxpayer-funded “virtual civil rights tour” that’s going to really put Albay on the map. Yep, we’ll be on the map as some of the biggest suckers ever, pi–ing away taxpayer money for something that will have absolutely no impact nor meaning.
