Unforgivable, sad, tragic … the fact of the slave trade and in Albany. It should be remembered as a lesson to the future and warning of human trafficking here and elsewhere. It took the virtual tour a year and $197,000 to present it. Grok AI can provide immense researched detail about the slave trade in Georgia and Albany in 30 seconds, for free.
SMRs, before you were born, we had a Republican president named Ronald Reagan, and when he spoke to Russian dictators, they were scared to death. When our present-day Republican president speaks to Russian dictators, they just laugh.
Please, Man Without a Family, hold your breath. We see why you are without a family.
We shouldn’t be addressing the high cost of insurance, we should be addressing the high medical costs that drive the high insurance rates.
Instead of these fake “nonprofits” that constantly have their hands out, asking for more and more freebies and money that they use to pay their staff, we should be supporting groups like the Margaret Jo Hogg Dementia Support Center. Are we so stupid we’re going to allow our crooked County Commission to give away a million dollars-plus of our tax money to a group that says it “tries to find jobs in the community” but really pays itself for doing essentially nothing? If so, we get what we deserve from these buffoons.
Preacher Lorenzo is laughable with his actions and his speech, not to mention an embarrassment to the entire community. For him to call anyone ignorant other than himself is pure comedy.
Dougherty County/Albany had much better transportation outlets, a much larger work force, a much larger hospital, but a Brazilian company chose Miller County/Colquitt to build a $4.4 million manufacturing plant that will provide 150 new jobs. Could it be that cities/counties that compete with Dougherty/Albany for new industry show prospective company executives replays of city and county commission meetings and their insane leadership? We know that happened some years ago.
Nancy Goode and all the others at the Alzheimer’s Center: Thank you for all you do. May God bless you all.
The Dems are criticizing the GOP because prices have not come down. You have to be careful what you wish for. When prices come down, that is deflation. Bad things happen during deflation and would destroy our economy.
