Today’s commissioners want to put your money in their own pockets and the pockets of their friends. These crooks don’t care about you. Next time, don’t vote for someone based on their race or because your pastor told you to. It will cost you.

Damn, Fletcher, I figured you’d agree with Joy Reid and condemn every song that has the word “white” in it. But you are right about “Jingle Bells.” Another idiotic attempt to get attention by another do-nothing.

The Dougherty County Commission embarrasses our city by their bad behavior in public meetings. They overpay their own friends to be lobbyists, to be county employees who stare at Netflix on their phones, and to build some virtual tour that is really just Chat GPT. Then they raise your taxes. Do they really think they can get away with all of this?

I don’t like president Trump. He is a felon,he is obnoxious,arrogant, and he is full of himself. But he is the best man for the job.

Republicans used to believe that character was important to be president. Since electing Trump, they don’t care.

I would ask the Christian Nationalists and MAGA folks who were so appalled at some of the comments around Kirk’s death, what do you think about Trump’s comments about Rob Reiner? Don’t say it’s “Trump being Trump.” Wrong is wrong. Let’s see if B.J. writes an article or Gieryic’s holds a prayer vigil about this tragedy. Taking the presidency, along with the country, to a new low everyday.

Another government shutdown is coming in January.

I had a flashback when I saw Thursday’s Albany Herald. The Sports coverage of Worth County’s state championship was outstanding. The pictures were great, and so was the story. It reminded me of the newspaper’s glory days. One negative: Why didn’t Sherwood get that kind of coverage when they won their fourth straight state title?

The Dems should rethink their position on illegal aliens. Returning criminals to the streets over and over again rather than releasing them to ICE is not working. Catch-and-release is a bad policy that only leads to more crime.

Our military double-strikes Venezuelan boats supposedly carrying drugs, committing war crimes in the process. Yet they seized in open waters a huge loaded Venezuelan oil tanker without damaging the boat or killing a single person. Things that make us go hmm! Their lie, telling it the way they want to.

Here’s the Dougherty County Commission’s stance: We’ll hold these hearings because the state makes us, and we’ll sit politely and listen to the people complain and explain why a tax increase is going to be a big issue. Then we’ll raise taxes anyway. Our friends need some more money, and we have to take care of them. They’re the ones that keep us in office.
