Anyone else surprised that the life span of the Hudson Malone Towers is only 40 years? It seems that it is just maintenance and housekeeping that has caused all of these uninhabitable units. The entire blame is on the Albany Housing Authority, and the city and county governments that have not maintained the units. Taxpayers paid for these buildings, either federal, state or local. And to push them over after only 40 years is because of mismanagement. Any home or structure not taken care of will fall apart.

Milan Patel has more love for his adopted home than people who have lived here for generations. If Albany ever does turn itself around, it will be because of people like Mr. Patel.

Trump is holding hostage the multimillion-dollar continuing funding for a NY-NJ project with bipartisan support. He’s doing so because he wants Dulles International Airport in the D.C. area, and Penn Station in NYC renamed as Trump International Airport and Trump Station. May I remind Mr. President that such naming is generally done posthumously. So if you really want that renaming, hurry up and die.

All of the new Section 8 housing going up alongside of the other huge Section 8 housing buildings on North Point and Old Dawson Road makes me wonder why none of these were built on the east side or southside of Albany. We are always hearing about housing for seniors in these sectors of Albany, but they are building all of this new stuff in the northwest. That is crazy
