TIFTON — Calling all photographers. It’s time for the bi-annual South Georgia Photography competition and exhibit sponsored by the Tifton Museum of Arts and Heritage. Professional and amateur photographers, ages 18 and up, are invited to submit photographs for the event scheduled for June 19 – July 10th at the Museum.

Photographers may submit a maximum of three photographs. . The best of the submissions will be included in the exhibit and will be eligible for prizes totaling $800. A qualified judge will choose the prize winners who will be announced at an opening reception. Emphasis will be placed on creativity, originality and quality of work.

A non-refundable fee of $5 must accompany each print submitted. These must be brought to the Museum on Tuesday or Wednesday, June 16 or 17, from 4 – 7 p.m. All photos must be framed and ready to hang, and may be no smaller than eight by 10 inches, and no larger than 36 inch by 36 inch, including framing.

An opening reception will be held Friday, June 19, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Admission is free and the public is invited. The exhibit will continue through July 10th, Tuesday – Friday 1–5 p.m., Thursday 1-7 p.m. and Sunday 1-3 p.m. The Museum is located in downtown Tifton at 255 Love Ave.
