Isaiah Knowles, Javion Jackson lead Albany State to 52-6 homecoming victory over Morehouse

ALBANY – Wide receiver Javion Jackson made homecoming unforgettable at Albany State Coliseum, hauling in four touchdown passes from quarterback Isaiah Knowles in the first half as the Golden Rams cruised to a dominant 52-6 win over Morehouse on Saturday. The victory lifts Albany State to 4-3 overall and 4-1 in SIAC play.
Jackson, a junior from Jonesboro, delivered a standout performance, catching seven passes for 149 yards and four touchdowns.
The Golden Rams wasted no time getting on the board. Knowles first connected with Xavier Herndon for a short touchdown pass, then followed up by finding Jackson for three consecutive scores on passes of seven, 42, and 67 yards, building a 28-0 lead before the huge homecoming crowd had fully settled in.
Morehouse responded with a touchdown pass, but Jackson’s fourth touchdown grab of the day put Albany State ahead 35-6 at the half.
In the second half, the Golden Rams added a Kyle Wright field goal, a punt return touchdown by Rontavian Scott, and a final touchdown pass from Knowles to Devon Dorsey to cap off the scoring.
Albany State’s offense racked up 470 total yards, while the “Dirty Blue” defense held Morehouse to just 204 yards.
Knowles finished the game with 17 completions on 27 attempts, throwing for 288 yards and six touchdowns. Tiant Wyche led the rushing attack with 96 yards on 12 carries.
The Golden Rams return to action next Saturday, hosting Edward Waters (1-6) in their final home game of the regular season. Kickoff at Albany State Coliseum is set for 2 p.m.
