CORDELE — It’s “All aboard!” as Thomas the Tank Engine, everyone’s favorite No. 1 blue engine, is coming to southwest Georgia and bringing a bubbly new spin to Day Out With Thomas events. For the first time ever, Thomas & Friends will celebrate the magic of bubbles on The Bubble Tour. The train ride adventure will stop at SAM Shortline Railroad on June 1, 2, 8, 9, 15 and 16.

Day Out With Thomas is a family event held at Heritage Railways across the country. Every ticket includes an interactive train ride with a life-sized Thomas the Tank Engine and access to a full day of activities for all to enjoy, including live entertainment, photo opportunities with Sir Topham Hatt, lawn games and shopping for exclusive swag at the pop-up gift shop.

This year, Day Out With Thomas is celebrating bubbles. Guests can expect plenty of bubbly, family-friendly activities. Even Thomas will be getting in on the fun, as fans can snap photos with Thomas, who will be adorned with bubbles. With plenty of activities for everyone, guests are encouraged to invite family and friends to create new memories that are certain to last a lifetime.

During Day Out With Thomas: The Bubble Tour, friends and families will take a 30-minute interactive train ride featuring a talking Thomas the Tank Engine locomotive.

Activities and entertainment include:

• A bubble-blowing zone and bubble bouncer-ball racing

• Bubble activities in the Bubble Zone

• Playtime with Thomas & Friends toys, before selecting a temporary tattoo in the Play Pod

• Photo opportunities throughout the event, including with Thomas himself

• An activity sheet that will guide guests through the event experience highlighting the four key station stops to visit for a free giveaway

• An opportunity to say hello to Sir Topham Hatt, Controller of the Railway

Tickets for the event are $23 per person, ages 1 and older. A pop-up gift shop on-site will sell exclusive Thomas & Friends products available only at Day Out With Thomas.

Food and drinks will be available on-site for purchase.
