Christmas Carol auditions set at Theatre Albany

ALBANY —Theatre Albany is conducting additional auditions for its holiday season production “A Christmas Carol,” set for mid-December.

Theatre Albany Director Mark Costello said the auditions will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday for adult men and women.

At 2 p.m. Oct. 17, auditions will be conducted for teenagers and children as young as 8 years old.

The auditions will be at the theater at 514 Pine Ave.

Costello said roles for adults include miser Ebenezer Scrooge; the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley; his long-suffering clerk Bob Cratchit and his wife; Scrooge’s former love Belle; the Ghosts of Christmases Past, Present and Future; Scrooge’s nephew Fred, and Scrooge’s former boss Fezziwig.

Younger roles include the young Scrooge; his sister, Fan, and the Cratchits’ children.

The production is scheduled for Dec. 11-13 and 17-20.
