ALBANY — The Albany Police Department were still searching Monday for two armed robbery suspects in connection with an incident in East Albany Friday evening.
Phyllis Banks, spokeswoman for the APD, said the incident took place in Room 226 of the Econo Lodge Inn and Suites at 1806 E. Oglethorpe Blvd. just before 7 p.m. Banks said the suspects, described as a tall white man wearing a white tank top and black shorts and a short black woman wearing a camouflage top and black pants, forced the victims at gunpoint into the hotel room and then robbed them of cash.
Banks said there were no injuries and no shots were fired. Detectives were still attempting to locate the pair Monday.

ALBANY POLICE DEPARTMENT: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 45 incidents on Saturday and Sunday, available reports show. The incidents included:
— Burglary in the 1st degree on the 500 block of Dunes Avenue and on the 400 block of Gowan Avenue;
— Family violence (unfounded) on the 800 block of West Mercer Avenue and on the 600 block of Johnson Road;
— Aggravated sodomy on the 400 block of West Tift Avenue;
— Theft of lost/mislaid property on the 900 block of West Broad Avenue;
— Motor vehicle theft on the 1400 block of West Whitney Avenue and on the 200 block of Cannon Avenue;
— Simple battery (family violence) on the 2500 block of Forsythe Street and on the 2600 block of Dawson Road;
— Criminal trespass on the 1000 block of West Gordon Avenue and on the 600 block of Jefferies Avenue;
— Aggravated assault on the 1300 block of South Davis Street;
— Theft by taking on the 500 block of Cherry Avenue and on the 500 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Missing person on the 600 block of Heard Avenue;
— Marijuana possession on the 300 block of North Shadowlawn Drive;
— One-way roadway violation on the 200 block of South Monroe Street;
— Drug related objects on the 400 block of West Third Avenue;
— Interfering with city officer on the 700 block of Ninth Avenue;
— Recovered property on the 500 block of Flint Avenue and on the 300 block of West Highland Avenue.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least 25 incidents on Saturday and Sunday, available reports show. The incidents included:
— Animal at large on the 1300 block of South County Line Road and on the 5600 block of McIver Drive;
— Suspicious person on the 2400 block of Liberty Expressway and on the 100 block of South Rosewood Drive;
— Property damage on the 2800 block of Leary Road;
— Traffic stop on the 2300 block of Radium Springs Road;
— 911 hang up on the 1300 block of Nelms Road;
— Loud music on the 3700 block of Countryside Drive and on the 2600 block of Crofton Drive;
— Auto accident on the 800 block of Philema Road;
— Terroristic threats on the 3300 block of Sylvester Road;
— Suspicious auto on the 3800 block of Vanderbilt Drive;
— Family violence on the 1200 block of Nixon Drive and on the 200 block of Paige Street;
— Lost property on the 1200 block of Nixon Drive.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 14 calls from Friday through Sunday, available reports show. The incidents included EMS assistance, motor vehicle accidents, building fires, unauthorized burnings, a gas leak, smoke or odor removal, a downed power line and shorted electrical equipment.
DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty County Emergency Medical Service responded to 43 calls on Sunday, available reports show. There were 35 medical calls and eight trauma calls.
The medical calls included, but were not limited to, six respiratory issues, two chest pains, two faintings, two strokes, two mental health issues, one diabetic issue, one OB/labor issue and one miscellaneous pain. The trauma calls included six falls, one auto accident victim and one laceration.
