PRESIDENT CARTER
Former President Jimmy Carter is scheduled to teach Sunday school this Sunday at Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains. The lesson begins at 10 a.m., but the sanctuary opens at 8:30 a.m. An orientation for visitors is set for 9 a.m.
EVENTS
First Baptist Church of Putney will hosts its All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast 8 a.m.-10 a.m. Saturday in the church Family Life Center, 1125 Antioch Road. Plates are $5 each. This is a fundraiser for the First Baptist Church Mission Team to travel to Mississippi.
The Georgia Boys quartet will perform at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Avalon Methodist Church. The church is located at 3018 Gillionville Road.
REVIVALS
Albany Family Worship Center,3024 Kensington Court, will conduct a Family Weekend Revival with Debbie Domer next weekend. Services are Kids Night with Debbie and the Puppet Gang, 7 p.m., May 29; 5:30 p.m. picnic on the grounds followed at 7 p.m. concert and preaching, May 30; morning worship and praise led by Domer, 10:30 a.m., May 31. Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Broad Avenue Inc., 400 Pine Ave., will observe its annual spring revival through May 22 with services at 7 p.m. each day. Guest evangelist will be the Rev. Nathaniel Clark.
Second Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Bronwood, will observe its annual revival services at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through May 22. The Rev. Gary Sanders of First Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Albany, will be guest evangelist.
SPECIAL SERVICE
First Baptist Church of Putney will host its 53rd homecoming service on Sunday beginning at 9:45 a.m. The Rev. Joe Carr will be the guest speaker at 11 a.m. and Master’s Men Plus One will be in concert during the Sunday school hour. A covered dish lunch will follow the service.
New Covenant Faith Christian Center, 714 Westover Blvd., will conduct a deliverance service at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Contact (229) 364-5488.
