Albany Police Department Spokesperson Phyllis Banks confirmed Monday that employees at Tower Medical Group, a subsidiary of Phoebe Health System, reported a break-in Monday morning as they were arriving to work.
Taken were 12 laptops used in the office, a wheelchair and some petty cash, Banks said. The value of the laptops is estimated to be around $13,000, she said.
Jackie Ryan, assistant vice president of marketing for Phoebe, said that confidential patient medical records were not kept on the computers and were not compromised.
