ALBANY — The Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit served a search warrant at a Ninth Avenue residence Wednesday morning, and two individuals were arrested on drug charges, according to ADDU Commander Maj. Prurince Dice. The husband also faces a theft charge involving a firearm.

“The search warrant was served around 7 a.m., and during the raid agents found prescription pills that the couple were selling from their residence,” Dice said.

According to reports, agents found Xanax bars, and acetaminophen/hydrocodone tablets and pills.

“Agents also discovered a .25-caliber pistol that was stolen from Jones County and more than $2,400 in cash,” Dice said.

According to reports, a monkey and two dogs were found in the residence. The dogs were released to animal control, and the monkey will be released to a family member.

Suspects Earl Bridges, 64, and his wife, Wanda Bridges, 58, were taken to the Dougherty County Jail.

Earl Bridges has been charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property (the firearm) and felony possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance (Xanax), reports indicate.

Wanda Bridges has been charged with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (acetaminophen/hydrocodone), according to reports.

“This location has been on the radar for more than five years,” said Dice. “Agents were never able to catch Earl and his wife, Wanda, in the act until today.”
