ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 20 calls on Tuesday and into the early hours of Wednesday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Entering autos on the 2200 block of Sharon Avenue, the 1700 block of 12th Avenue and the 2300 block of Doncaster Drive;
— Battery at the intersection of West Lincoln Avenue and South Monroe Street;
— Theft by taking on the 400 block of South Slappey Boulevard;
— Aggravated assault on the 400 block of West Broad Avenue;
— Fraudulent activities on the 2700 block of Meredyth Drive;
— Thefts by shoplifting on the 300 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard, the 200 block of Cordele Road and the 1400 block of Dawson Road;
— First-degree burglaries on the 700 block of Corn Avenue, the 1100 block of Julia Avenue and the 1200 block of Teche Avenue;
— Simple battery, family violence, on the 1500 block of Whiting Drive and the 400 block of North Cleveland Street;
— Deceased person on the 600 block of Cotton Avenue;
— Criminal trespass, family violence, on the 200 block of Sunrise Drive;
— Criminal trespass on the 1700 block of Cromartie Beach Drive and the 500 block of Swift Street;
— Child abuse report on the 500 block of Swift Street.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least nine calls on Tuesday and into the early hours of Wednesday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Suspicious persons on the 5700 block of Newton Road, the 5600 block of Paulk Drive, the 500 block of Old Pretoria Road and the 4800 block of Pinto Drive;
— Auto accident on the 400 block of Liberty Expressway Southeast;
— Suspicious auto on the 4500 block of Sylvester Road;
— Burglary of a residence on the 2400 block of Lily Pond Road;
— Theft by taking on the 2200 block of Willingham Drive;
— Assistance to a motorist at the intersection of Home Drive and South County Line Road.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department reports were not available on Wednesday.
DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty County Emergency Medical Service responded to at least 61 calls on Tuesday and into the early hours of Wednesday, available reports indicate.
The medical calls included four chest pains, two abdominal pains/problems, one headache, one unknown/man down, five respiratory issues, 19 general sicknesses, one fainting, five altered mental statuses, one diabetic issue, one OB issue, one seizure, three abnormal behaviors/suicide attempts and one cardiac arrest/death.
The trauma calls included six auto accidents, five falls, one assault and one fire assistance call. The other calls included one transport call and two medical alert activation calls.
