Albany, Dougherty County Police/Fire/EMS reports — March 23-24

ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 25 calls on Thursday and early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:

— Unruly child on the 1500 block of Edgerly Avenue;

— Burglaries in the first degree on the 2500 block of Hilltop Drive and the 1200 block of South McKinley Street;

— Entering auto on the 2800 block of North Slappey Boulevard;

— Aggravated assault with firearm on the 300 South Slappey Boulevard;

— Shoplifting on the 200 block of Cordele Road;

— Criminal trespass on the 200 block of Pine Avenue, two incidents on the 500 block of Swift Street, the 300 block of Wells Avenue and the 1000 block of Davidson Drive;

— Gas drive-off on the 300 block of Cordele Road;

— Disorderly conduct on the 300 block of Wells Avenue;

— Criminal trespass, family violence, on the 900 block of Cherry Avenue and the1700 block of Malone Drive;

— Contempt of Municipal Court on the 300 block of South Magnolia Avenue;

— Thefts by taking on the 100 block of West Road, the 100 block of Wells Avenue and the 600 block of West First Avenue;

— Motor vehicle theft on the 1800 block of Fulton Avenue.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least seven calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:

— Suspicious person on the 3000 block of Leary Road;

— Burglar alarm on the 3000 block of Clark Avenue;

— Burglaries on the 400 block of Poinciana Avenue and the 3700 block of Countryside Drive;

— Contact person on the 3500 block of Sylvester Highway;

— Traffic control on the 5800 block of Gillionville Road;

— Auto accident on the 2300 block of the Liberty Expressway.

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least nine calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:

— Authorized controlled burning at the intersection of Hardup Road and Homestead Avenue;

— EMS assists on the 200 block of Arbor Court and the 2600 block of Yorktown Avenue;

— Auto accident at the intersection of Dawson Road and Meredyth Drive;

— Cooking fire on the 1200 block of West Highland Avenue;

— Unauthorized burning on the 500 block of South Slappey Boulevard;

— Grass fire on the 1400 block of South Mock Road;

— Outside rubbish fire on the 2700 block of West Oakridge Drive;

— Water or steam leak on the 2400 block of Brierwood Drive.
