ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 17 calls on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Criminal trespass on the 100 block of Transvilla Parkway, the 2200 block of Habersham Road, the 700 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard and the 300 block of Talafax Road;
— Forgery on the 100 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Battery on the 1500 block of Whiting Drive;
— Aggravated assaults on the 600 block of 11th Avenue, the 2400 block of Brierwood Drive and the 2100 block of Dervan Street;
— Theft by shoplifting on the 1800 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Thefts by taking on the 2100 block of Dervan Street and the 900 block of Lippitt Drive;
— Burglaries on the 2100 block of Hoover Street and the 1200 block of Julia Avenue;
— Entering autos on the 1300 block of Mobile Avenue and the 300 block of East Oakridge Drive;
— Armed robbery on the 900 block of Willow Wood Drive.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least 18 calls on Wednesday and the early hours Thursday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Animal call on the 5000 block of Barrington Drive;
— Thefts by taking on the 500 block of the Liberty Expressway and the 3600 block of Namdi Street;
— Road blocked on the 2100 block of South County Line Road;
— Suspicious autos at the intersection of Moultrie Road and the Liberty Expressway and the 2000 block of Southeast Liberty Expressway;
— 911 hang-up on the 2600 block of Lonesome Road;
— Assist motorists on the 2600 block of Sylvester Road and the 1500 block of Canary Avenue;
— Assault on the 2100 block of Habersham Road;
— Auto accident, hit and run, on the 1300 block of the Liberty Expressway;
— Criminal trespass on the 1400 block of Hancock Road and the 3300 block of Sylvester Highway;
— Suspicious person on the 4800 block of Folly Drive;
— Burglar alarm on the 3700 block of Parr Road;
— Discharging firearms at the intersection of Radium Springs Road and North Rosewood Drive and the 3400 block of Quail Hollow Road;
— Unwanted guest on the 2700 block of Bettys Drive.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least eight calls on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— EMS assists on the 500 block of 16th Avenue and the 400 block of Louis Avenue;
— Unauthorized burnings on the 1500 block of Pinecrest Drive, the 800 block of North Harding Street and the 3200 block of Pinyon Drive;
— Bomb scare on the 600 block of 10th Avenue;
— Arcing electrical on the 1200 block of Dawson Road;
— Auto accident on the 100 block of East Oakridge Drive.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty County EMS responded to at least 60 calls on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. Incidents included five respiratory issue calls, four chest pain calls, three altered mental state calls, two stroke victim calls, one diabetic issue call, one seizure call, one labor issue call, one cardiac arrest call and 24 various medical calls. Trauma calls included eight falls, five auto accident victims and two assaults. Other types of calls included three disaster drill assist calls.
