ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 22 calls on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Thefts by taking on the 1500 block of 10th Avenue, the 300 block of North Slappey Boulevard, the 1700 block of North Slappey Boulevard, the 5000 block of Millsbee Lane and the 900 block of Mercedes Street;
— Simple battery on the 1400 block of Whispering Pines Road, the 1600 block of Gardner Drive and the 2300 block of Jewel Street;
— Thefts by shoplifting on the 2800 block of Nottingham Way and the 2600 block of Dawson Road;
— Disorderly conduct on the 700 block of West Residence Avenue and the 2000 block of Schilling Avenue;
— Criminal trespass on the 500 block of Mercer Avenue and the 200 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— Burglaries in the first degree on the 700 block of Seventh Avenue and the 1700 block of Massey Drive;
— Forgery on the 900 block of South Slappey Boulevard;
— Armed robbery on the 2400 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive;
— Theft of lost or mislaid property on the 1100 block of North Westover Boulevard;
— Deceased person on the 2700 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Interfering with a city officer on the 2000 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Aggravated assault on the 900 block of Randolph Street.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County Police responded to at least 20 calls on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Burglar alarms on the 800 block of Sue Court, the 4800 block of Millbrooke Road, the 2200 block of Duitman Road, the 3200 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and the 2500 block of Bettys Drive;
— Juvenile problems on the 2600 block of Great Oak Street and the 1300 block of Old Pretoria Road;
— Animal call on the 700 block of Cordele Road;
— Disorderly conduct on the 3300 block of Sylvester Highway;
— Suspicious auto on the 200 block of Pine Bluff Road;
— Fraud on the 800 block of Notre Dame Avenue;
— Burglary on the 4900 block of Hill Road;
— VIN verification on the 100 block of Honeysuckle Drive;
— Family violence on the 900 block of Barbragale Avenue;
— Hold-up alarm on the 400 block of Poinciana Avenue;
— Auto accident on the 400 block of Philema Road;
— Theft by taking on the 900 block of Barbragale Avenue;
— Harassing phone calls on the 400 block of South Westover Boulevard;
— 911 hang-up on the 3700 block of Newcastle Lane;
— Contact police on the 4400 block of Sylvester Highway.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least three calls on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. Incidents included a public service call, an EMS assist and a smoke odor removal call.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty County EMS responded to at least 67 calls on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. Incidents included nine respiratory issue calls, seven chest pain calls, two seizure calls, two mental health calls, two miscellaneous pain calls, two cardiac arrest calls and 32 various medical calls. Trauma calls included five auto accidents, three falls and one laceration. Other calls included two medical alert calls.
