Albany police arrest two teens on robbery charges
Two suspects, ages 16 and 18, are in custody, officials say

ALBANY — The Albany Police Department has arrested two suspects in connection to a string of robberies that have been reported across the city.
About 6:30 p.m. Wednesday “two individuals were taken in to custody and now face charges related to the recent person-on-person robberies that have occurred across the city within the last two weeks,” said APD spokeswoman Phyllis Banks.
Reports indicate that the two male teenagers were taken to the Albany Law Enforcement Center, where detectives conducted interviews that resulted in the filing of robbery charges.
According to officials, Key’Jylyn Norman, 18, was charged with robbery by snatching and was transported to the Dougherty County Jail Wednesday night.
A 16 year-old male who has been charged with robbery by force and was transported to the regional youth detention center, APD officials said.
Additional charges are pending and additional arrests are anticipated, according to Banks.
