ALBANY — Police are renewing a call asking for the public’s help in locating Mathis Alfonzo Bryant Jr., who is wanted in connection with a July 2 home invasion at 604 Parkwood Drive. Albany Police Department officials also warn Bryant should be considered armed and dangerous.

“We need the public’s help in locating Bryant,” said APD spokeswoman Phyllis Banks. “He is still out there and we do consider him to be armed and dangerous.”

Police previously asked on July 18 for the public’s help in locating Bryant, a suspect in the ongoing investigation of the home invasion. Two people, according to APD reports, were at the home when three males kicked in the front door and entered the residence. Two of the men were wearing white shirts and blue jeans and the third man was wearing a black shirt. Two of the assailants wore stocking caps over their faces; one carried a shotgun and another had a handgun, according to the reports.

The occupants of the residence told police the men held them at gunpoint while they rummaged through bedrooms and demanded money. Both victims were struck in the head and both were bleeding when officers arrived.

After taking money and three pairs of shoes (Jordans, Pumas and Guiseppes) from the house, the gunmen fled, police reports said.

EMS arrived and transported both victims to the hospital.

Bryant, 24, is 6 feet 1 and weighs 161 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and a medium complexion. He has tattoos on his left arm that read “Truth or Dare,” “787” and “B,” along with tattoos on his right arm that read “Ball Til U Fall,” “M,” “King” and “Lexis.”

Bryant’s last known address is 2208 Hention Hill in Baconton, police say. According to officials, he is a member of the Blood Gang and is known to frequent Willard Avenue and Club Legend.

Anyone with information about Bryant is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 229-436-TIPS (8477) or the Albany Police Department at (229) 431-2100.
