ALBANY — The Albany Police Department is searching for Tyler Mills, a suspect wanted in connection to four different cases of motor vehicle theft.

Mills, 21, is accused of stealing motorcycles and ATVs from owners attempting to sell the vehicles.

According to reports, “The suspect stole dirt bikes, four-wheelers and motorcycles from victims while making them believe that he was test driving their motor vehicles during a monetary exchange after meeting on Facebook.”

During four separate incidents, victims traveled to Albany to sell a vehicle to a Joshua Lee Cummings, whom they had contacted on Facebook.

In all cases, “Cummings” asked to test drive the vehicle and never returned, incident reports said.

APD did not give any details as to how Mills became a suspect, but charges have been filed against Mills for felony theft by taking/motor vehicle theft.

Anyone with information about Mills’ location is asked to call the Albany Police Department at (229) 431-2100 or Crime Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS (8477).
