ALBANY — Babs Hall, corporate compliance officer for Aspire Behavioral Health and Development Disability Services in Albany, was among those named recently to the “40 Under 40” list selected annually by “Georgia Trend” magazine.
Hall, 36, was described in the magazine’s biography as “a person committed to community service, which is shown by her career and volunteer activities. In her day job, she is tasked with making sure Aspire meets the defined policies and procedures to best serve a 15-county area.”
A community volunteer since the age of 14, Hall is the founder of the Southwest Georgia Suicide Prevention Coalition. She facilitates mental illness support groups, serves as treasurer for the Georgia Gerontology Society and volunteers for organizations such as Meals on Wheels and Habitat of Humanity.
“I am incredibly humbled and honored to be recognized as one of Georgia Trend’s 40 Under 40 for 2017,” Hall said. “From a very young age, my parents instilled in me the belief that we make the world a better place by serving others. Helping others to be their best selves and to find hope when they are feeling otherwise hopeless is the most rewarding part of both my career and my everyday life.
“To be recognized as someone who is making a positive impact on people’s lives is the greatest honor that anyone can be given.”
Hall is also a graduate of Leadership Albany’s Class of 2015 and currently serves on that group’s board of directors.
The magazine features 40 Georgia leaders under the age of 40. Represented on the annual list are individuals from a multitude of sectors who have gone on to maintain strong leadership roles.
“We’re proud of our selections and glad we can share the stories of these Georgians and their achievements,” the staff at “Georgia Trend” wrote in the introduction to the “40 Under 40”segment, which appears in this month’s edition of the magazine.
The magazine is expecting to take nominations for its 2018 list from March 5-April 27 at www.georgiatrend.com.
