DOJ grants awarded to Albany, Columbus

Albany and Columbus will receive more than $170,000 in federal grants from the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Rep. Sanford Bishop announced this morning.

More than $99,000 in Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grants were awarded by the DOJ to Columbus for its Adult and Juvenile Drug Courts while more than $70,000 was awarded to the Albany Police Department for a new surveillance camera, tasers, computer equipment and other materials.
