ALBANY — The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Albany Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who robbed a DOCO Credit Union branch on Wednesday.

According to officials, at around 12:20 p.m. the suspect walked into the credit union at 2101 Rosebrier Ave. in Albany, handed the teller a note and said he had a gun.

“He entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money,” said APD spokeswoman Phyllis Banks. “The teller complied, and he left the bank. He was last seen in the park behind the library over in that area.”

Officials have not confirmed how much money the bandit took.

According to an FBI press release, the suspect was last seen wearing khaki cargo pants, white shoes, a green T-shirt and a dark-colored U.S. Air Force hat. The suspect wore a light-colored bracelet on his left wrist and a dark-colored watch on his right wrist.

No one was injured, according to reports, and the incident remains under investigation.

Anyone with information regarding this matter is encouraged to contact the FBI’s Atlanta Field Office at (404) 679-9000.
