Gregors, Alderman named Sherwood Christian Academy valedictorian and salutatorian

ALBANY — Sherwood Christian Academy has announced Casey Gregors and Will Alderman as its valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively, for the class of 2018.

SCA will hold its 29th commencement exercises for this year’s class at 7 p.m. on May 18 at Sherwood Baptist Church. Association of Christian Schools International CEO Stephen Reel will deliver the commencement address to the graduates.

Gregors graduates with honors with a 4.0 GPA and will be attending the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega as a biology major this fall. Recognized this year as SCA’s STAR student, Gregors is a member of the National Honor Society, a four-year SCA Headmaster Scholar, ACSI Distinguished Christian High School Outstanding Achievement Award winner and Student Council president.

Gregors has attended SCA for 13 years. She is the daughter of Tammy and Joe Gregors and is a member of Sherwood Baptist.

Alderman graduates with honors with a 4.0 GPA and will be attending Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn., as a political science major. He has been one of SCA’s Headmaster Scholars and scholar athletes for four years. He is also a member of the National Honor Society, an ACSI Distinguished Christian High School Outstanding Achievement Award winner, three-year class president, four-year letter winner in football and three-year letter winner in soccer.

Alderman also received the Senior Fine Arts Award for an outstanding career in theater, and a gold medal of recognition for exemplary community service throughout high school. He has attended SCA for 14 years. He is the son of Carly and Troy Alderman and is a member of Sherwood Baptist.
