Carl Vinson VA Center to host career fair

DUBLIN — The Carl Vinson VA Medical Center is hiring for multiple positions and will conduct a career fair Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the medical center’s auditorium.

Applicants seeking positions in the following occupations are invited to call with questions or to schedule interviews:

— Individuals who possess non-competitive eligibility for hiring, such as being a 30% or more disabled veteran, eligible for appointment under Veterans Recruitment Authority or Schedule A, and/or eligible for non-competitive reinstatement or transfer;

— Housekeeping aid (individuals hired into housekeeping aid positions must possess veterans preference);

— Food service workers.

Also, positions are available for individuals who are United States Citizens and meet the requirements of the positions to include education, licensure/certification for:

— Nursing assistant;

— LPN;

— Nurse;

— Physicians (all disciplines);

— Nurse practitioner;

— Physician assistant;

— Advance medical support assistant.

Documents required of each applicant include:

— Resume/CV;

— Transcripts (if applicable);

— Licensure, registration, and/or certification (if applicable);

— DD214, VA Disability letter, Schedule A letter or other documentation of eligibility for noncompetitive appointment (for Title 5 positions);

— Any other supporting documents.
