TIFTON – Healogics recognized the Tift Regional Wound Care & Hyperbaric Clinic with the Center of Distinction Award for achieving outstanding clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months in 2023, including a patient satisfaction rate higher than 92%.

Located in Tifton, the Tift Regional Wound Care & Hyperbaric Clinic is a service of Tift Regional Medical Center and Southwell. The clinic also works in partnership with Healogics, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services.

“This is the ninth executive year that we have earned this award, and it exemplifies the hard work and dedication of our team,” Dr. Kent Burton, the medical director of the clinic, said. “Our people always strive for the best possible outcomes in wound healing for our patients.”

The clinic is a member of the Healogics network of more than 600 wound care Centers and offers highly-specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections, and other chronic wounds that have not healed in a reasonable amount of time.

Advanced wound care modalities provided by the clinic include negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bio-engineered tissues, biosynthetic dressings and growth factor therapies. The clinic also offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which works by surrounding the patient with 100% oxygen to help progress the healing of the wound.

“We are committed to providing our wound care patients with leading-edge technology along with individualized treatment plans,” Burton said. “We are so proud of this award and remain committed to ensuring our patients receive the highest-quality care, delivered with compassion and empathy.”

The Tift Regional Wound Care & Hyperbaric Clinic is located in Tifton at 907 E. 18th St., Suite 140. For more information, visit www.MySouthwell.com or call (229) 353-4325.
