Most Wanted fugitive caught

One of the Crime Stoppers Most wanted fugitives reported in today’s Albany Herald has already been captured.

Officials with the Dougherty County Sheriff’s Office say that Barbara Cobb, who was wanted on a theft by taking charge, is in custody. Authorities received a call on Cobb’s whereabouts early today after reading the Most Wanted list in today’s Herald.

She was booked in the Dougherty County Jail around 10:30 a.m. Officials said Cobb tried unsuccessfully to run from officers. She was arrested at 616 Willard Ave. in Albany.

Cobb was one of five fugitives featured today in the newspaper.
