MOULTRIE — A 57-year-old Moultrie man has been charged with 14 counts of sexual exploitation of children, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation officials said Friday.

GBI officials said Milton Wrenn was being held in the Colquitt County Jail on the charges after images of child pornography were found on his computer.

The discovery of the child porn came in a drug case, authorities said. GBI officials said he was arrested Oct. 12 by the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office after he was accused of manufacturing marijuana at his home.

Wrenn’s house was searched after a multi-county investigation involving the Union County and Colquitt County sheriff’s offices and the GBI Region 15 Office in Sylvester. The computer was seized during the investigation.

Colquitt County sheriff’s officials requested assistance from the GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit after images depicting the sexual exploitation of children were found, the GBI said.

The investigation is part of the ongoing effort by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which is housed within the GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit, to identify those involved in the child pornography trade. The program was created by the U.S. Department of Justice in response to the increasing number of children and teenagers using the Internet, the proliferation of child pornography, and the heightened online activity by predators searching for unsupervised contact with underage victims.

Anyone with information about this case or any cases of child exploitation is asked to contact the GBI Child Exploitation Unit at (404) 270-8870.
