PELHAM — According to officials with the Albany Police Department, a person being sought for questioning in the October Sand Trap Lounge and Club homicide in East Albany turned himself in over the weekend.

On Friday, APD released a BOLO for Tremaine Deshawn McKnight.

“McKnight is wanted for questioning regarding a homicide occurring at 1412 Radium Springs Road (Sand Trap Lounge and Club),” the APD release said.

McKnight was located over the weekend in Pelham, but few details were available from law enforcement. “He actually turned himself in this weekend,” APD spokeswoman Phyllis Banks said Monday. “I am trying to get clarification from the lead detective.”

Travion Jones, 25, also of Pelham, was killed around 2 a.m. Oct. 22 after an argument inside the club moved outside and escalated, Albany police have said. His death was the 20th homicide this year in Albany. The count now stands at 22, including one from a 2014 cold case.

Police began searching for Dominique Maurice Davis, 29, of Pelham, after a murder warrant was issued against him. Davis was booked into the Dougherty County Jail on a murder charge on Oct. 31, according to a report from the Dougherty County Sheriff’s Office.
