Arrest made in Albany entering auto, burglary cases

ALBANY — A man was arrested Thursday in connection to recent entering auto and burglary incidents, officials from the Albany Police Department said.
Phyllis Banks, spokeswoman for the APD, said Frankie Carl Williams, 52, has been charged with several entering autos and burglaries reported in the Whispering Pines Road area. Banks said Williams was taken into custody late Thursday afternoon by detectives with the APD Criminal Investigations Bureau.
Banks said money, electronics, clothes and shoes were taken from vehicles, while lawn equipment was also stolen. Williams was interviewed about all of the locations and detectives were able to make contact with the known victims in regarding to the stolen property, she said.
Williams was booked into the Dougherty County Jail on entering auto and burglary charges with additional charges pending. Jail records showed Friday that he was being held on a $5,000 bond.
Banks added that detectives have said the majority of the victims will receive all of their property back.
The entering autos and burglaries took place in the 2300 block of Whispering Pines and the 600 block of Sixth Avenue, Banks said.
