ALBANY — A teenager was injured Saturday night in a shooting on Lee Street, reports from the Albany Police Department show.

The aggravated assault was reported at 8:23 p.m. The 16-year-old and several other individuals were walking north on the 1100 block of Lee Street when a man walking south fired a shot at the teenager, said Phyllis Banks, spokeswoman for the APD.

He was struck once in the right forearm. He refused to give a statement on the incident, Banks said.

The case has been forwarded to investigators. There was nothing immediately available on Monday regarding possible charges. A spokeswoman at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital said Monday afternoon that he had been discharged.
