I am amazed that the local DOT representative wants to divide the intersection of Nelms and 19 because of one bad intersection and make two bad intersections. It takes a borderline fool to come up with an idea like that.
Nothing brings political rivals together like a funeral.
Just so you’ll be informed and factually accurate, the city of Albany has a legal permit that allows them to pump raw untreated sewage straight into the Flint River anytime water levels exceed .001. So raw untreated sewage is constantly going into the Flint River legally.
Hindsight is 20/20. A coach’s decision only seems dumb when it doesn’t work. If the play is executed he is a genius; if the play is not executed he is an idiot.
Ya think that with another $20 mil we can get some smart sewers that will tell is when it’s overflowing?
If you want to see what visitors think about Albany, take the Oglethorpe exit toward downtown. Look to your right at the run-down businesses and especially the Budget Inn. You would be afraid to park your car at the Civic Center or any other part of downtown. It is disgraceful that Code Enforcement does not issue citations to these owners..
The Republicans want to question James Comey behind closed doors. Is this so Delvin Nunes can alter the transcript again for Trump?
Applause, applause! Mike Keeley’s “Let Heaven and Nature Swing” was a huge success. Porterfield Church and this community were blessed. We need joy!
Man, do we have the best president there ever was, or what?
I tell you what: I bet you Alabama or Georgia either one would whup the Atlanta Falcons any day of the week.
It is a fact the Saudi Prince knew and ordered the murder of the journalist, and Trump and his fake Christians looked the other way.
It was a great game from two great teams: Georgia and Alabama.
The 71-year-old Squawker who is paying $126 a month solely for school taxes, notwithstanding that he has not had a child in the local school system for the 48 years he’s been here, has a valid and legal complaint. He should contact taxpayers, including an attorney, to challenge in court this tax which is unconscionable to their legal position.
No one can afford your cars: $20K plus golf carts … $70k plus pickups. Think Nova, Dart, Falcon, Model T.
I’ve been watching the news since President Bush died, and I haven’t heard a word from Jimmy Carter. I think that’s strange.
The stock market has gone up about a 1,000 points in the last week and a half. You can hear the Democrats wailing and gnashing of teeth.
I would like to say thank you to The Albany Herald for the beautiful rainbow on the front page of Monday’s paper. Great picture.
It’s amazing that they put the number out for help for utilities but you can never get through to them. They take care of their friends and take the phones off the hook. This needs to be investigated.
Charges of Trump being a dodger after dodger/deserter Clinton and too-good-to-serve Obama are ludicrous.
