I have tried for three days to call the Albany Utilities about an erroneous statement, in an attempt to get it corrected. Always a busy signal. I hope this is not a typical example of future new and improved service (at great expense).

Couldn’t help noticing all the litter scattered all around town. I was especially disturbed to see the entire contents of several garbage cans dumped on the side of the access overpass on Dawson Road. This has been here quite a while. This gives the impression to visitors that we are a very sloppy group of citizens. Clean it up, folks.

I think that Trump and the Democrats in the House should compromise. Perhaps an agreement to pay one dollar from the Treasury to match each dollar paid by Mexico to build or improve the wall.

The Lee County Medical Center will never happen. A 60-bed facility cannot generate the critical mass (revenue) to be self-sustaining. Lee County taxpayers will be unwilling and unable to absorb the operating costs for such an undertaking.

The Democrats have no positive vision for America. Their only agenda is to take Trump down, forgive student debts, massive tax rate hikes, basically bankrupt and destroy our country and our economy.

A freshman Dem Congresswoman wasted no time showing her ignorance when she threatened to impeach Trump in a profane rant. Who votes for people like her?

Trump is an example of how wealth corrupts moral and intelligent reasoning. His father taught him to be deceitful and arrogant, and Trump has taught his children to do the same. Good fathers wouldn’t want their children to take illegal risks.

Hula Girl Pelosi finally got back from her Hawaii vacay, and the first thing she does is to propose a ridiculous spending bill that includes billions in foreign aid but nothing for border security. That may appeal to her left wing, but it doesn’t pass the commonsense test and doesn’t stand a chance of passing Congress.

Folks, Democrats don’t want open borders, they just realize a concrete wall is not the answer. Faux News is full of lies; stop watching it.

After all these years of having to get up in bad weather and go to work, this Friday morning I just rolled over and went back to sleep. Retirement has it’s perks.

I think Mitt Romney will run to be the Republican nominee for president in 2020. Why else would he seek attention with the article he recently sent to the Washington Post? He made clear his opinion of Trump in 2016.

I was involved in an automobile accident at Lullwater and Dawson Road. I want to again thank the young police officer, (initial) T. Brown for being so kind and considerate.

President Trump is acting like it’s a big thing to have stayed in the White House while Melania was partying it up at Mar-a-Lago. We don’t know who he had up in there, though, given his history.
