Miz Mother Hubbard, your war on litter is not working. Have you ridden down Old Dawson Road, around the mall or the bypass lately? It is a huge embarrassment that has nothing to do with the storm debris. Put some teeth into your rhetoric. Industries wanting to settle somewhere take one look and want to run — can’t blame them.
The Squawkbox: Letters to the editor for cowards.
Is the CON extension in Lee County an early symptom of things going wrong in Wonderland? Officials in the county have really put themselves on the line for a group with not the greatest track record.
To those who are constantly calling others names and referring to them as “fake Christians,” the Bible teaches us against censoriousness. Those who seem to be so vehemently opposed to others who do not believe as they themselves do should dig two graves, one for themselves.
I am impressed with the quality of the stories and the variety that have appeared in The Herald lately. Keep up the good work.
Now the singers who are performing at the Super Bowl — Gladys Knight and Maroon 5 — are being criticized for agreeing to play for an audience in the hundreds of million by the cretins who back Kaepernick? You know what, I’ll stick to Cartoon Network and “M*A*S*H” reruns.
There is no such thing as global warming or climate change. It’s as simple as that. The president and others who think like him are right. Democrats are just trying to scare people with all this climate change stuff.
You cannot justify killing millions of people in wars around the world unless you consider those people inferior to yourself.
Perhaps, Mr. Fletcher, the city should have done more to alert the people in this neighborhood that a liquor store was being planned nearby. I wonder if this would have happened in Doublegate.
I’m moving my business and home place to north Georgia due to super high property taxes, crime and a subpar school system driven by unwed teen mothers and marginally educated teachers.
What a beautiful tribute to his friend W.T. Henry by Graham Lowe. Congratulations, Terry Lewis, on a fine article about two very amazing men.
So what was the city supposed to do, go door to door and tell people that somebody planned to build a liquor store in their neighborhood? So many people have gotten so used to having everything done for them, they don’t take any action to benefit themselves. That’s what all these giveaway programs have done for people.
Trump should have never reopened the government. Pelosi is a lying snake in the grass and has no interest in negotiating a deal, just another stall tactic.
Any person who “believes in” and blindly follows another person, politician or not, is guilty of blasphemy, putting that person ahead of God. I’ve seen a lot of that with our current president and his worshipers and the president before him.
Elizabeth Warren has more Indian blood in her than Mitt Romney has Republican blood in him.
