For you Republican readers of the Herald, I would like you to be aware of this quote from Michael Reagan’s column in the Monday paper: “Unfortunately for the country, FDR ultimately got his way when two justices changed their minds and voted to uphold the constitutionality of the Social Security Act and other New Deal legislation.” This apparently is the position of the Republican Party that Social Security is unfortunate for the country.
Excellent article by Tom Purcell on capitalism-socialism. If AOC can keep her mouth shut long enough to read the article, she may learn something and start acting smarter.
Ah, yes, the Albany parking decks, part of the old ATI folly that gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to Tommy Chatmon before he hurriedly skipped town.
Jakobshavn Glacier in Greenland has started growing again. Over the last two years it is thickening at the rate of 130 feet annually and advancing 1.8 miles annually. I guess it’s not warming too much over there.
Isn’t it an amazing that a local judge, who allows “no nonsense” in her courtroom, can come into a public utilities office and make a total a— of herself. Talk about embarrassing the local court system, as well as herself.
Lying to the government is a felony; lying to the people is politics.
Is it just me, or does that AOC lady look a little hot? Oh, wait, it’s just me …
The only way Democrats can win is to abolish the Electoral College system. If this happens, rural America’s votes will not matter, only New York, California and Florida will govern the country. Stop trying to change our Constitution.
Code Enforcement in Albany has long been a joke since Alfred Lott left. Now, at least, they’ve let us in on why they are so ineffective. Rather than doing anything about any violations they see, they wait around for someone to call and complain. Talk about neutered enforcement.
I hope the golfers and the businesses of Albany continue to support Sheriff Sproul’s golf tournament. They always do a great job, and the work the sheriff’s office does with young people is very important to our community. Thank you, Sheriff Sproul and your staff, for all you do!
Worse editor ever. Not one word about the Mueller probe in Monday’s paper. If this probe had been about Barack Obama , Carlton Fletcher would have published a full page editorial about his exoneration.
With all the millions of “extra” SPLOST tax dollars going to our elected officials in Albany and Dougherty County, I still don’t see a whole lot of improvements. How do we get an accounting of that money?
I think that water circus thing in Tifton is not real … more fake news.
Carlton Fletcher, you can talk about people getting guns illegally all you want, the truth is the people on the good side are stocking up on weapons, and we’ll be ready when the time comes. NRA forever!
Kavanaugh is on the Supreme Court, CNN’s hero Avenatti is in jail, and Mueller finds no collusion. Are we getting tired of winning?
