The state award to interim County Administrator Mike McCoy certainly makes John Hayes, Gloria Gaines, Clint Johnson and Anthony Jones look more foolish, if that’s possible.

Squawker, I know several Democrats that work at the post office. Get your facts straight.

Whoever came up with the idea of early voting did not consider the financial hardship it would impose on small/rural counties. If the purpose is for all to get to vote, the small counties would be better off financially if the voting period is shortened. I remember when I first became eligible to vote (back in the 1950s). On the one day for voting I stood in line a long time to be able to cast my ballot.

If a fish rots from the head first, that explains the effect Chris Cohilas has had on the Dougherty County Commission. Now Ewell Lyle is falling in lockstep with Cohilas. Hang in there Lamar Hudgins.

We live on Temple Avenue, and people use that as a cut-through for Slappey and Stewart. They take this curve so fast, it’s unreal. Seniors and children are at risk. We need some speed bumps or something.
